The powerful warlocks repositioned themselves in a semicircle, with Zelifrax, the master summoner, in the middle. The summoning they would perform that day would be more challenging than they had ever known or seen before. It was time to begin the ritual, claimed Ritssyn. The gnome Zelifrax Wobblepox was standing in the center of the Circle of Wills, with Ritssyn, Zinnin Smythe, Jubeka Shadowbreaker and Shinfel Blightsworn standing around the edges. They had been summoned en masse by the Council as a distriction. As the warlock hero walked down the sewers, they noticed large amounts of imps and other demons terrorizing the guards. The meeting was to take place at the Circle of Wills in Dalaran's Underbelly. They would be the Sixth of the Black Harvest. No doubt the adventurer had heard of what befell Kanrethad Ebonlocke. The ritual was ready, but they were short one number, since the unfortunate fate of their former leader. The Council planned to tap into the Twisting Nether and call forth much more powerful demon allies. Ritssyn spoke on behalf of the Council of the Black Harvest, who requested their aid, and explained that with the Legion's invasion, it was painfully clear that their only hope was to grow stronger. Well, aside from all of those other times I threw my lot in with them and borrowed a bit of their power.A warlock hero that had just arrived to Dalaran was intercepted by the orc warlock Ritssyn Flamescowl, who emerged from a demonic portal before them. Sometimes playing as a tank you just don’t get the recognition that you feel like you do and it’s just nice to be appreciated, y’know? Once I saw how encouraging these whispers could be, I knew that I would throw my lot in with the Old Gods the first chance I got. Having an item whisper spooky things to me already catapults that item into the top tier of items, but the actual whispers themselves are what seal the deal. So much noise… let silence set you on the path to glory. Is that not proof enough of your significance? But I soon figured out that there was an added bonus - I started receiving mysterious whispers. It’s a fairly unique cloak because it can “borrow” some of your allies’ power for a little while, which was chaotic and powerful enough for me to want to use it based on that alone. I hadn’t really thought that much about it until I got the Voice of the Silent Star cloak from defeating Scalecommander Sarkareth in Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible. Have you ever thought about what made all of those Twilight’s Hammer Cultists join up, or what was whispered to Neltharion to corrupt him and make him Deathwing? The Old Gods appear all throughout World of Warcraft. They’ve been some of the most memorable bosses and have twisted the very landscape around them to be more in line with their vision for the world, and it seems like no matter what, they always have legions of devoted followers. ![]()
